How you will learn

You will have short lectures, hands-on practice right away, and as much scan time as possible.

After each focused lecture, you will go directly into a simulation session supervised by faculty. You will work in pairs and use the ultrasound simulator yourself, so everyone has plenty of time to practice.

In this two-day course on fetal cardiac and neurosonography, you will attend short lectures led by experts and spend plenty of time on hands-on, case-based scanning with the Volutracer OPUS®. You can book day 1, day 2, or both days.

The course takes place over two intensive days and is organized around individual cases.

Each day begins with a review of the learning objectives and the full schedule. Breaks are included, but you will still have plenty of practical time.

  • Perform a complete and systematic assessment of the normal fetal brain in the axial, coronal, and sagittal planes.
  • Recognise the characteristic sonographic features of midline, ventricular, and posterior fossa anomalies.
  • Distinguish between anomalies with overlapping appearances, particularly within the cystic posterior fossa group.
